Scholarships
We are pleased to invite Linnell family students to apply for the Linnell Family Association scholarship. The Linnell Family Association Scholarship Fund was established in 2000 with a donation of $500 and has continued to grow in value over the years. The next scholarship of $1,500 will be awarded in 2022.
Who Can Apply?
Any descendant of Robert Linnell who is college or accredited higher education program bound or is a current student of a college or accredited higher education program is eligible to apply for the scholarship. Applicants must submit a written essay or create a video presentation about Linnell family history or about the positive influences of a living Linnell family member. Essays must be between 1,000 to 2,500 words in length, typed and double-spaced. Video presentations must be between 5 minutes to 15 minutes long. One winning essay or video presentation will be selected in 2022 for the scholarship award. Deadline for submission is April 30, 2022.

How do I share my video?
Applicants wishing to enter a video presentation for the LFA scholarship award can do either of the following:
- Upload to a private YouTube channel and share the link to the video, or
- Upload to an online cloud service, like OneDrive or Google Drive, and share the link to the video

When Are Applications Due?
Applications, accompanying essay or video presentation, letters of recommendation, and most recent school transcript must be submitted by April 30th of the award year. The next scholarship will be awarded in 2022.
How Are Essays/Videos Judged?
The Linnell Family Association Scholarship Fund Administration Committee (LFASFAC) will oversee the selection and judging of all scholarship award applications based on content and clarity of expression.
2022 LFA Scholarship Important Dates
Now: Start planning your written essay or video presentation
April 30, 2022: Deadline for submission of written essay or video presentation.
June 1, 2022: Notification from the LFA Scholarship Fund Administration Committee of scholarship award winner.
June 24-26, 2022: Ceremony for the LFASF award at the 2022 LFA Convention in Hyannis, MA
