parking lot, with access for our Seniors utilizing wheelchairs and/or
walkers.
FACTS ABOUT TIMBER LINN MEMORIAL PARK: Timber Linn
Memorial Park occupies 100 acres of land. It has basketball courts;
barbeque areas; disc golf; fishing; Timber Linn Lake; horseshoe pits;
playground areas; picnic tables; baseball and softball fields;
restrooms; and two (2) Covered Shelters. For local Oregonians,
Timber Linn Park was the site for the Annual Timber Carnival during
the 4th of July every year. There is also a beautiful Veterans War
Memorial on-site. If you look at an overview of the Memorial on the
Internet, you will find that the walkway forms an outline of the State of
Oregon, and there are approximately 25-plus Individual Memorials
included.
This will be a potluck picnic, as we have had in past years. It is
requested that everyone please bring something. There is seating
available; however, if you so desire, you can bring your own lawn
chairs or other seating.
Please furnish your own table settings, plates, silverware, and
your own drinks (soda pop, iced tea; coffee; etc.).
Please notify Paul E. Linnell, Jr. (Contact Information shown
below), as to how many of your Family Members will be attending by
no later than July 13, 2023, so that we can get a tentative headcount
of attendees.
